Second Event at Millennium Centre Vaccinates 1000+

The second Covid-19 mass vaccination event was held on Saturday 20th March 2021 and vaccinated a further 1000 people, exceeding the 719 vaccinations performed at the previous event - one week ago on the 13th.

Mass Vaccination Event at Millenium Centre, Westwood

Covid Vaccine educational briefings by Oldham Mosques Council culminated in a series of vaccination events being held at the Millennium Centre in Westwood.

Organised by Oldham Mosques Council, Oldham Central Mosque and Oldham Interfaith Forum, with the support of Oldham Council and Action Together, a mass vaccination event was held at the Millennium Centre on Featherstall Road, Westwood on Saturday 13th March. This was the largest vaccination event in the country to date - NHS doctors  and members of the Army, Navy and RAF performed more than 700 vaccinations on the day - far exceeding the initial target of 500.

Another session will be taking place on  Saturday the 20th.

Oldham Mosques Council Covid Vaccine Briefings

Oldham Mosques Council is delivering Covid-19 Vaccine Training and Information Sessions to mosques around Oldham to help Imams respond to questions, answer concerns and dispel myths surrounding the Covid vaccines.

Manchester has designated 1st to 7th February 2021 as Hate Crime Awareness Week. Hate Crime is experienced by people on the basis of their colour, culture, religion, disability, sexual orientation or anything which marks them out as different.

As women of faith, who aim to celebrate our diversity, we need to know more about the incidence, consequences and remedies to hate crime. - Colleagues from Oldham council will be delivering a presentation on 2nd Feb. on Zoom. We hope you'll be able to join us.
