GDPR Seminar for Faith Institutions

Leaders and representatives of places of worship and faith institutions attended a seminar on the current legislation known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations), organised jointly by Oldham Interfaith Forum, Oldham Mosques Council & Strengthening Faith Institutions.
The Seminar was presented by Ruth Smith, Consultant Solicitor, Corporate & Commercial of Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisors

Entrance is by the civic entrance reception (behind the Queen Elizabeth Hall)
Entry: Free by booking in advance
The aims of the event were for women to:
- Share their views on how their faith and beliefs influence their life.
- Learn and enquire about others faith and beliefs.
- Create opportunities to meet people with different faiths and beliefs.
During the mid-session break Council chambers were open for access (between 8-8:30pm), for attendees to look around and reflect on women’s involvement in democracy.

OMC Completes CSE Training

The OMC in partnership has successfully trained teachers and Mosque Committee members on Child Sexual Exploitation training. This training will help them in identifying signs and symptoms which they may refer appropriately.
